Heritage Grounds

Set on a historic Guelph property, Heritage Grounds is a landscape shaped by tradition, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for place.

Water as Landscape

The experience unfolds gradually, guided by water and stone. A central limestone waterfall—formed from moss-covered, time-worn boulders—anchors the first impression, spilling into a still pool framed by natural stone boulders on waters edge. From there, the landscape invites movement and discovery, revealing a -stack koi pond and a waterfall tucked deeper within the grounds—quietly encountered as the garden opens and shifts around you, echoing the sense of a place revealed over time.

Enduring Craft

Formal walkways establish rhythm and direction, drawing you through a sequence of crafted moments. Along the route, heritage-inspired stone columns rise in measured intervals, supporting a wrought iron canopy softened by cascading wisteria. Hand-built masonry—columns, knee walls, and finely detailed stonework—provides structure and continuity throughout the journey. The work of our masons ties the entire composition together, balancing architectural formality with the evolving, natural character of the landscape.
